Narrative Thinking through the use of Clay – AVA Frankfurt

Narrative Thinking through the use of Clay” is the name of the class I’m teaching this semester at the Frankfurt Academy of Visual Arts. This is a class in which the students of 6 and 7 semester will develop a conceptual art project based on a hierarchical idea, and clay or ceramic will be present in the execution, but not necessarily as a main protagonist. The final piece could be a video piece, a series of photographs, a sound project, a performance…

My students are great. In our first session we met just to get familiar with the material and they already started to show their talents…

I have designed this course with the mentorship of Caren Rabbino from Fast Forward, New York; and with the support of the Academy of Visual Arts. My most sincere gratitude goes to Tomaso and Seyyal Carnetto, and to Caren Rabbino.
